SONIC BOOM – NJ HALO Tourney @ V-17

  FUN! Is the best word to describe this NJ HALO tourney that took place at V-17 in New Jersey.  Like I said in previous posts, these gaming events are getting bigger and better every time!  Its so crazy!  Big shout out to Womeniizerr for repp’n Xdao out there and keeping it live!

  Its pretty obvious that NJ HALO is all about the gamers. Thats why people like Astro (MLG PRO Player), Nexxy (MLG Commentator), Assassin (from team FeaR), and of course RGP and I was out there enjoying ourselves. Even the guys from Evil Controllers was out there giving away free accessories. But over all the crowd of gamers was real cool, (no Xbox thugs over here).

  The setup for this event was not bad.  There was a bunch of the traditional HD Flat Screens, XBOX’s and PS3’s.  Its just that, I feel that the presentation could of been better.  I hate to be picky, but small details like music and posters on the wall makes a difference.  And at this event, there was a lack of gaming posters, and there wasn’t any music.   I mean, at the last event that NJ HALO held, the music kept a lot of people bouncing.  Its not a big deal, but its nice to have, and I’m pretty sure a lot of spectators (including the competitors that had to wait their turn) can agree with me.

  However, the negatives are easily drowned out by the side activities that were available on location.  Due to the fact that V-17 is also home to an arcade, race car simulators, roller skating rink, and go kart circuit, even as a spectator you can’t get bored there.   Plus the food court, just makes going to these events a little bit more easier.  Just bring some extra cash with you, and your sure to have a good time.

  As for the game selection, it was on point.  Modern Warfare2, GOW2, HALO, and Madden, all had tons of gamers competing.  Every single game gave everyone competing a chance to win up to $3,000 on the spot.  From what I hear, NJ HALO will even be adding the Street Fighter IV game to the line up as of December 12th 2009 for the next event, that will also be held at V-17.

  So, as you can see. The gaming world as you know it, is leveling up before our eyes.  There are tons of opportunities for us as gamers to earn some cash on a regular basis.  NJ HALO is definitely one of the consistent events that you can count on.  That is why I am definitely heading out there December 12th 2009 to make things happen!  Game on!.
